One of the questions I get all the time

from instructional coaches working in schools

is when they should choose to use

transformational coaching

instead of instructional coaching.

So this question illuminates a common misconception, which is that transformational coaching is something separate from instructional coaching.

However, everything you do as an instructional coach can be done in a transformational way. That's what

transformational coaching is. So in today's episode, I'm going to show you what it looks like

by demonstrating how a transformational coach takes the common instructional coaching practice

of giving feedback on lesson plans and incorporates transformational

coaching strategies. By the end of this episode, you'll see how to take the strategy of giving

feedback on lesson plans from a transactional strategy to a transformational strategy.
