Well, first of all, happy Thanksgiving.

I hope you're enjoying your time with your loved ones, however you define them, and taking a much needed and deserved break.

Tomorrow we officially enter the holiday season, even though Christmas seems to have started actually in mid-October, like it gets earlier every year.

But officially, the day after Thanksgiving is when it's all supposed to kick off.

And nothing screams the holidays

more than classical music, you know, strings and horns and high notes that all bring us into the

mood of the season. That's why we're bringing you some feel-good content today to be a part of

this official holiday weekend kickoff. It's a conversation about opera.

Now, opera is a space where you might not expect trans folks to be making waves,

but that assumption is incorrect.

As we have shown here many times, trans people are changing any and all spaces,

and classical music is no exception. That's why I am thrilled to be sitting down

with Trailblazer, Griana Sinclair, a California-based soprano. She's performed around the world

on stages with the San Francisco Symphony and many others. For our entire show today, we

discuss what it is like to be trans in the classical

world of opera and where it's all headed. I knew that a lot of people are not going to take me

seriously because I'm trans. And so that's another layer that I have to really like endure. I love

who I am. I love that the gift that God has given me,

the universe that's giving me this gift

to heal people's lives with my voice.
