| 0:00.0 | The Patriots are back in pads and it was another scorcher. |
| 0:02.9 | We'll break it all down for you. |
| 0:04.0 | Let's go. |
| 0:04.4 | Let's go. We just got off the field from the Patriot 6th training camp practice and guys. Harold Landry said afterwards he felt like the defense had a good day and I think I would agree with him. |
| 0:25.6 | How about you, Paul? |
| 0:26.6 | I would totally agree. |
| 0:27.6 | Thought it was a step forward and I think when you take into consideration that your starting |
| 0:31.6 | cornerbacks, Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis, aren't a part of a day where it was almost predominantly passing game in the red zone. |
| 0:38.9 | And I thought the defense got the better of things. |
| 0:42.3 | Considering that you're missing your best player on defense, I think it was absolutely a step |
| 0:46.7 | forward for the defense. |
| 0:47.7 | It's one of those practices where, again, if you bottle up like three or four Drake May's |
| 0:51.9 | pros and put it on a highlight reel, you're going to say, wow, Drake may look great at practice. But overall, I agree with the two of you that there wasn't a whole lot of passes completed outside of those really nice throws. A couple of Stefan Diggs. One of Kyle Williams in the bucket. That was a beauty. But overall, a tight red zone, so you're not going to complete a ton of passes down there most of the time. But I'd agree with you, too, that the defense controlled the day. Yeah, the difficulty ramped up. Of course, yesterday we were first and second down in the red zone. Today they added in third down there. A lot of work down there. I mean, a lot of reps for those guys. To me, though, Paul, it wasn't necessarily the pass rush or the pressure. I mean, there certainly were moments where the past rush got in on Drake May, but I think he was just a little off today. One of those practices where it felt like even in Seven on Sevens early on, he was missing some guys. And just not a great day from Drake May. He's been great, I would say, through the start of camp. But today was the day where it felt like maybe it wasn't his best. I would totally agree with you. I thought especially in the seven-on-sevons. I thought he was erratic. I thought he missed some guys. |
| 1:28.2 | I think he agree with you. I thought especially in the seven on sevens. |
| 1:45.5 | I thought he was erratic. |
| 1:46.5 | I thought he missed some guys. |
| 1:47.5 | I think he had Hunter Henry and team, you know, |
| 1:50.0 | heading toward the corner, back line, the end zone. |
| 1:52.5 | I think he just overthrew it. |
| 1:54.3 | And like Evan said, there are also some plays where, you know, |
| 1:57.2 | I thought he like layered a beautiful thrown near the sideline to booty couldn't have been |
| 2:01.8 | any more perfect so it wasn't like it was all bad offensively and because of those personnel |
