A third straight day in pads and in the heat. Yes, the dog day is a summer here. Let's break it down.

Welcome to the Patriots Training Campcast, everybody, and we are back for practice number seven.

Man, they're just reeling off right now. I feel like we're getting into a flow.

Feels a little bit like Groundhog Day. But another productive day on the field. And guys, I would just say my big thought from today was more of the same. I thought both sides showed some flashes. You had some moments where Drake may making some nice throws. You had some good pressure from the defense at times as well. and maybe most impressive to me was just actually Drake navigating some of that pressure

and delivering some throws.

Another good day. I would agree. I thought Drake was a little bit sharper today than he was yesterday. And again, you're right. It was back and forth. It wasn't, you know, just, you know, anything that was overly consistent. But, you know, some big-time throws, I thought the one obviously down the sideline,

the Kyle Williams really stood out because I don't think Kyle Williams was really open. I think that's one of those that he threw him open. But a good play by the rookie to make the adjustment on the ball. So, yeah, some positive plays on both sides. Yeah, I thought Drake was really good today for the most part. and maybe some of the protection issues up front

were really what led to some of the clunkiness for the offense towards the end of his

string of plays. It felt like they didn't necessarily finish a lot of their strings well,

but I thought he made some really good throws today. And the thing that continues to stand out

to me with him is how his timing and rhythm within this offense,

feels like he's been in this offense before, and it doesn't look like a quarterback that's

learning a brand new offense and is maybe still kind of seeing it slowly and it's developing

slower for him. It feels like the ball is coming out on time and in rhythm more times than not.

So just looking around the league at some of the other training camps where guys are changing coaching staffs and have new coordinators, I don't think that's always the case for young quarterbacks when they go from one offense to another, that it's kind of a seamless transition. But you mentioned the Kyle Williams go ball. That was a pretty throw. Like that's a dime.

That's a big time throw.

He's got that one.

As you like to say, he's got that one in his toolbox.

It's not the first time we've seen it.

There are also a couple of plays, Paul, we were up above. That's a Patriots play. That looked there in a couple times. Not a lot of them. but there was one in particular where it was just a little, you know, Diggs sat down on a first down and just boom, hit him.
