0:00.0 | Hello everyone and welcome to The Well. I'm your host, Dylan Bowman. This is going to be a podcast |
0:07.7 | about outdoor and non-traditional sport among many other things. And for those listening, I'm assuming |
0:14.1 | most of you either know me or found this podcast through some kind of connection to ultra running. |
0:19.8 | And while I imagine the show will be |
0:22.1 | disproportionately running, or at least endurance related, it won't be exclusively so. And the reason |
0:28.4 | is I've just been a lifelong fan of sport and I've always been incredibly interested in the |
0:33.7 | stories of athletes and industry people across all competitive disciplines. |

1:05.8 | respected wineries in Napa Valley. I also talked with a childhood friend of mine who became a really successful |
1:12.4 | business person when we were still in high school and who now runs a very well-performing venture |
1:16.5 | capital firm in Boulder, Colorado. And while neither of these guys have ever been professional |
1:21.6 | athletes, obviously both know what it means to go to the well in service to their goals. And |
1:27.2 | both have dealt with success and failure. |
1:29.5 | And I just see a lot of parallel between what we do as athletes and what these guys do |
1:34.4 | professionally as well. |
1:36.0 | But that being said, of course, I'm an ultra runner and I think ultra running is the |
1:40.8 | greatest sport in the world. |
1:42.0 | And I intend to use this podcast to shout that from the rooftops of the internet with |
