Notre Dame landing a commitment recently, Gordy, Salfstedt, definitely would be categorized as a surprise commitment.

I was surprised, Eric.

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

I know we were talking about the defensive line all throughout the week, and, you know,

he was just not one of the names that was on our radar coming into the, you know, the day

where he committed.

So it was definitely a surprise.

Part of that was I know that there was some conversations with Notre Dame, but they hadn't

extended an offer. It didn't seem like there was a lot of traction there. It seems like everything

moved very quickly. So kind of a reminder of for us of just how quickly some of these things can

move. Yeah, no no doubt and then i was

sort of looking at um you know st xavier is a school that you know i cover the notary

commits every fall and who they play and because we've covered guys like you know carson hobbs

and you know a few years before that michael mayorer, when I'm watching their games, they often

were playing St. Xavier.

And every time I'd watch them play, like, St. Xavier is really, really well coached, really,

really good talent, even when they're playing, you know, the best teams in Ohio or one of the

best teams from Kentucky at the time when they played mayor, it was always like a very

tight, tight game. I watched Hobbs play against them last season, close game, really hard fought.

It's just one of those teams where every player on the team is super sharp, you know,
