You can tell that summer is coming along because the news is limited here.

And we're going to, although Nordheim did get some football recruiting news yesterday,

a little bit of a surprise.

Gordy Softsted, a defensive lineman out of Ohio, verbally committed Nortem.

The class of 2025.

Most of the news we have now is of the class of 2026, but he is an interior

defense alignment added to the mix.

And then in the past week, Nikita Konstanovsky and Burke Chebohar, a couple of basketball recruits for

the men's program. We'll get into them in a little bit. Of course, lacrosse has advanced to the

final four in Philadelphia with their 16 to 11 victory over the weekend. But guys, let's start

with Gordy Solstead. And, you know, I realize that Nordame is not pulling in the big name defense of lineman. The tone of the message board is reflected by that. There will be little commentary on Saturday when Nordame adds a legitimate top 100, top 60 defensive back and Mark Zachary or they're expected to.

But hey, it is what it is, and Nordame doesn't have a lot of highly rated defense alignment

in the class of 2025 other than Christopher Burgess Jr.

It might like to think that summer began at Irish Illustrated when on a Friday I published

a Chris Terrick counting down the Irish series for number 74.

That is the official beginning of offseason summer everywhere in our publishing world.

But I did a little study here Monday Musings because of the, you know, the angst on the message board is pretty high.

I assume it's, I don't read other message boards,

but I assume it's similar to ours where there's a fair amount of three-star prospects. There's

a glut, of course, a defensive line. And there's also 13 three-star prospects, which I went back
