We have a strange month for property prices, some very big property predictions for next year,

and of course we'll bring you up to date on everything else that's happening in the market,

including rents, mortgages and all the government shenanigans.

We also share what we can in the Sunday Times and this Sunday we're helping

an investor who spotted a property with cladding and reckons he might be able to make the best

but for now let's get into our market update what a month absolutely tons going on

to absolutely huge stories in the realms of politics so we'll come to those

but Rob will start as we always do with house prices. So into our market update so much

to pack in absolutely loads coming up but we'll start as we always do with

house prices and Rob day is night black is white house prices are going up what the

hell is going on I do not know know Rob. I'm going to stop trying to guess because it's a crazy market right now. Now you may not know, listening to this, that last month property prices went up and I thought it might just be an anomaly,

because the nationwide price index came out first,

and that showed that property prices had gone up for the month of October.

Okay, but that's nationwide, but surely when Halifax's numbers come out, it might

counteract that. It's just something wrong with their data. But no, Halifax also showed that property prices are up in October.

So nationwide showed growth of nearly 1%, 0.9%.

And Halifax actually went through 1% and prices rose by 1.1%.
