Summary
Stage 3 of the Tour de France was the first sprint stage of this year’s race, finishing with a technical run into Pontivy. Caleb Ewan started out as the favourite but faced competition from Arnaud Démare, Mark Cavendish and Tim Merlier.
Unfortunately, as we've seen in previous stages, today was marred by chaos and crashes which made for an unpleasant viewing experience. We wish all the riders who were injured a speedy recovery and we're keeping our fingers crossed that the race improves from here.
