Hello and welcome back. Today is day 23 of this 33 day

preparation for total consecration to Jesus through Mary.

We are in Section 3 when we are talking about Mary by her various titles

so that we can come to know her a little

bit better, trust her, and understand the powerful role she plays in our life, bringing us to

Jesus. Now, today we're going to discuss the title of the Immaculate Heart. Now, maybe you've

seen an image of this or a statue, but very often

if you go into a church, you will see two statues. One is of Jesus and one is of Mary, and they

both have hearts outside of their body on top of their chest. Jesus is called the sacred heart. And in the sacred heart image or

statue, his heart is surrounded by a crown of thorns. It is on fire. There is a cross coming out

the top, a wound on the side, and it is surrounded in rays of light. So that is the sacred heart.

Mary's heart is called the Immaculate Heart. Now, for both of

these statues, we meditate on the hearts of both Mary and Jesus because we know that their love

for us each specifically is so powerful that their hearts are there burning with love for us,

with a desire for us to be holy, to be happy, to be saved, that they are there burning with love

for us. And so we reflect on those hearts. Now let's talk specifically about the

heart of Mary. What does it mean to be immaculate? Well, if your mother came in and told you to clean your

room and then she expected it to be immaculate, you would understand that she expected it to be

perfectly clean.
