Hello, hello again, my friends. Thank you so much for being here. Of course, I am Dylan Bowman. Welcome to Pillars.

We are back after a little bit of a break. And today I am so excited to share a conversation with a

great friend and personal mentor of mine. Mr. Tofer Gailord, Tofer is an outdoor industry professional,

an outdoor industry icon who has just had an amazing career and who has so many valuable things to share about how we can bring our professional

lives more in line with our passions. How can we take the things that we love to do and turn them into a career?

Tofer has done it so well in his own life, and I think you guys are really going to enjoy his

perspective. He is also an ultra-running pioneer and advocated for the sport who has just

had a huge influence on its growth and trajectory

over the last 20 years.

And in his professional career, Tofer has helped to lead some of the biggest and most iconic

outdoor and performance brands in the business like the North Face, Mountain Hardware, and most

recently Under Armour. And as someone who really loves the intersection of business and sport,

I have just learned so much about the industry, career progression, leadership, and other important things from Tofer's

example. And I have long wanted to have him on the show to come share some of his wisdom with you

all. And I'm so excited we've finally done it. I think you guys are really going to enjoy it.

And one of the other

purposes of this podcast was to do some promotion for the fast approaching Western States

100 and especially the new live stream coverage that is happening this year for the first

time that Tofer and I have been working on over the

last few months in collaboration with Billy Yang and other members of the Western States

100 board. And I am so happy. I feel so honored and privileged to be able to help anchor that

live stream coverage. And we meant to talk a lot about it on today's show.
