Hate to say it, but I told you so. It's unlike anything else. It's such a game changer.

And I really believe I've learned more from podcasts than I have in my formal education.

That's for sure. It's funny. Recently someone was saying, oh, did you see what so-and-so posted

in social media? Or did you see that meme that was going around? Did you notice the changes

on Facebook? People often will ask me about things that they assume I've seen in social media.

But I use social media very limited today as opposed to how I used it five years ago.

And what's changed is a shift in my attention. And that is to consume information that I seek out.

Like, I'm looking for something very particular. I'm craving it. I search for it. I find it.

And then I feed it to my brain. And you can do that with podcasting. You can do that with social media.

That's why I rarely open like the Explorer page on Instagram because when you do that,

you're no longer in charge of what you're feeding your brain. But podcasts are different.

When I wake up, as I've said many times in the show, the very first thing that I do

is I jump up out of bed excited to listen to whatever podcast it was I downloaded to my phone
