Summary

Dating in your 40s? Jared and Jordana break down why it actually gives you the upper hand, less game-playing, more clarity, and faster exits from the wrong situations. A listener writes in about a promising new connection and a big reveal, prompting a convo on knowing what you want as you get older. Then, they react to a jaw-dropping first-date horror story involving a drunk, naked sleepwalker and a ruined mattress. The debate continues: is peeing the bed a dating red flag... or just a funny story? Modern dating, relationship boundaries, and chaotic hookups, this episode has it all! full ep here 👉https://youtu.be/wOrL4kV0bSQ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hello and welcome back to the Friday feels episode of the U-O podcast. I'm Jordan Abraham. And I am Jared Fried. It's so good to be back here with you, Jordana. Thank you for remembering what show we're doing. I try, you know. In the middle. Sometimes I remember in the middle. Yeah, I'm with you. Sometimes I'll start, the Michael Scott start a sentence.

0:20.9

I have no idea where it's going.

0:22.7

I hope we end up in a good spot. It's way. Yeah. What's going on? How are you feeling on a Friday? I'm feeling good. I've got, going to the Lumineers tomorrow. I'm excited. Hey! Ho! Yeah. Isn't that them? That is them.

0:38.6

Exactly.

0:35.1

I don't even need to go anymore because I have the concert right here. Right here. Isn't that their song? What's their song? They've got a million songs. They're great. I love them. Luminers, where are you seeing them? City Field. Venue's so important. That's a fun venue. Yeah, if it's nice out, I think it's going to be.

0:36.6

So that'll be fun.

0:38.0

I like a good outdoor concert.

0:39.1

You know what's funny?

2:01.3

I like a good outdoor concert. I, you know what's funny? I like avoid going to concerts, but then when I go, I'm like, this is fun. I should go so much more. Right. Well, the concert to me is all about it's so much to do. You know, comedy is kind of this way where like the venue, the people, the energy, like, that's all so important. And it gets downplayed. You know, like, you want to hear the luminaires, hey, ho, whatever the fucking song is. And you want to look at the sky and have Mike on your arm and go, this is the life I've created. You want to have a moment. Yes. You want to be caught up. Yeah, you want to get caught up. Especially music brings you to a place. I know. You want to be with your friends, have the drink the blanket out, the moon in the sky. I get it. You know, it's weird. Me, I'll be a home alone just staring at a wall. Sometimes I feel like so cynical. I'm like, who wants to go to a fucking concert? Like go all the way there, Greg? Like you're as far, you'd be crowd, people, annoying. Right. And then sometimes you go and you're like, okay, like I could be one of these people. You have a lot of respect for the planners, the goers, the doers. Yeah. They're doing things. Yeah, right. Couch people like us. Yes. When we see, when you get forced out. Cynical people like us. When you get dragged out. Why would anyone go? Then you go. Right. Why does anyone, you know, it's like my dad growing up. Why would anyone want to go to the beach? You got to bring the chairs. You've got to get the umbrella.

2:02.5

Live on the beach.

2:53.2

Be it. Right. Why does anyone, you know, it's like my dad growing up. Why would anyone want to go to the beach? You got to bring the chairs. Live on the beach now. Live on the beach. Be on the beach. Why would someone want a boat? You know, you're going to get the boat. You're going to pay for the boat because everyone's just chasing a high. You're just chasing. Why does anyone do anything, right? Right. we should just all kill ourselves right now, now that you mentioned. End of days. Yeah. No, anyway, I'm saving the concert. I saw them before, too. So I'm like. Who, the luminaires? Yeah, this is my second time. To go back to one of my dad's sayings, you can never repeat. Well I hope they they up the ante same group same band yeah no I'm saying oh different going uh different group different group we went with a

2:59.5

different couple last time this time we're going with a different couple I think that's so it's not

3:03.2

repeating you're not getting the band back together and being like let's do the lumineers again

3:07.1

that could be a disaster no No. Yeah. And I was the lumeniers. Nothing. So you just we're meeting at the concert. Hey, let's go in. No, no vibe. It's a city field. I'm not going to like go to a place. Right. There's no real restaurant nearby. And my friend lives, my friend or husband live in the city. We live on Long Island. So you're meeting in the middle and you'll be at the field. So you're going to eat there? I guess. What do you eat at a concert place? Park food? Chicken fingers. Chicken finger and a hot dog. Something like that. Yeah. Can't bring your own stuff. Boy, this, I wouldn't go. See? This is why I don't share concerts. And I'm seeing Mumford and Sons in August.

3:25.4

Mumford and Sons.

3:26.3

Yes. I wouldn't go. See? This is why I don't share concerts.

3:41.2

And I'm seeing Mumford and Sons in August.
