I don't know if you have noticed, but more episodes this summer have been recorded while I've

been walking along the beach, live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

That's the Atlantic Ocean you hear.

This is two miles from where we live, so I can't simply open the door, walk out on the beach.

But it's a 10-minute car ride away, 20 minutes by bike.

And last summer, I think I let the friction of getting to the beach keep me from actually going to the beach.

And this year I determined that, you know what, I want to take advantage of this opportunity.

And so I have been.

I've been coming to the beach more this summer than I did last summer.

One of the reasons that I come to the beach is, for me, this is very calming.

I love walking on the beach, but candidly, I also love sitting in a chair with

a book and reading and occasionally looking up, seeing what I can see, watching the waves.

I love the horizon where the sky meets the ocean.

Every now and then, some pelicans will fly by.
