Welcome back for Justice League of America number 256, the November 1986 issue in title back to Godhead,

written by the final writer of this series, J.M. DeM. DeMateos, who would go on with Keith Giffin to also write the Fantastic Justice League International, which replaces this title.

But he's the last writer for this volume, penciled by Luke MacDonald, inked by Bob Smith,

colored by Gene D'Angelo, letter by Albert de Guzman, edited by Andrew Helfer,

with a really cool cover by Luke MacDonald. It's a really awesome cover of Martian Manhunter

and Flames. The cover says, burn Martian burn.

I like it. I like how it looks.

He's, you know, Marsh Manor doesn't like fire.

And we opened this issue with Martian Man Hunter in fire.

Remember last issue he got shot by that cheating man who tried to frame him for murder, he fell into a fire.

Well, now we're kind of dealing with this so we're getting a little

of a showcase of McDonald drawing fire for a couple pages and you immediately get the sense of someone

besides conway's running it not that i don't love conway i think conway did a great job but when someone's

written a book for really a long time and then you get somebody else mixed in you can tell right away

because we're getting a lot

of Martian Manhunter thinking to himself in his mind, he's engulfed in all these flames,

he's thinking about his grandmother and telling him stories about the fire god that comes for the

Martians who die and how maybe this is his time and he sees a vision of this sort of hunched over

Martian-looking

creature. He calls it by its name, the voice of fire, Hranmere, and that it's coming for him.

It says, are you ready to leave this world of strangers? And then touch your fingers like
