It's the time versus the flash number 279, or is it wrong that I want to find out more about the hobos?

Welcome back for the flash number 279, the November 1979 issue featuring a cover by Dick Giordano and quite the cover it is.

Nice sequence of panels there. An appropriately old-looking flash in the last sequence? What could possibly happen?

City Park, that dangerous park, where it's so easy to be ambushed like the Flash was ambushed by crazed Clive Yorkin. We learned last issue, that dangerous, dangerous park where it's so easy to be ambushed like the Flash was

ambushed by crazed Clive Yorkin.

We learned last issue, Clive Yorking can now suck the very life energy from people who are

frightened, feeding off their fear.

We also know that the Flash can't vibrate out of his grasp because somehow he's

able to attune himself to.

So that's where we are.

The Flash in the grasp of Clive Yorkin, feeling his energy being seeped away, feeling the fear of it, which is only feeding Yorkan more and more. The Flash is getting desperate, struggling to get out of it. Realizes he can't vibrate out of the grasp. He's just wasting precious energy. He tries a judo throw, probably taught to him by Batman, throwing

Yorkin over his shoulders, but still Yorkin's got him in the death grasp. Flash realizing he's

almost completely out of energy. There's nothing more he can do. Yorkin slowly moves his hands up to

the Flash's throat, changing his grip. He's with inches away from Yorkin's crazed face. Flash knows that this is the end.

There's no way for an escape. And just as he's starting to fade out, an image appears in his mind of

Iris' beloved wife, who Yorking killed. The Flash feels peace with it. He can finally die and see

Iris again in whatever type of heaven having the DC universe feels the second the

flash gets this feeling of contentment and happiness. Yorkin screams in pain, letting the

flash go and taking off running. Flash is confused by what's going. It's not that confusing

flash. Come on. We know that Yorkin has dyslexia, that the nephron process, the reverse form,
