Tom versus the Flash number 280 or I'm not sure that actually counts as good news.

Welcome back to the Flash number 280 in December 1979 issue featuring a cover by Dick Giordano,

with the issue being edited by Ross Andrew.

Our story in this issue is The Wrong Man, written by Carrie Bates, penciled by Don Hack, inked by Frank Chiaramante, lettered by

Ben Oda, colored by Gene D'Angelo.

That's right.

Don Heck is the artist on this issue.

Don Heck gets a lot of crap from people.

And I like Don Heck in certain circumstances.

I will say artistically, he's more comfortable drawing Barry Allen than he is the Flash.

I'll say he's a little

bit of a step back as far as the speed stuff goes. And he puts some Barry Allen in a three-piece suit,

which looks nice. And his style, probably not the best to follow-up Savick. I think Drew, like,

really, not a cartoony yorkan, but sort of like a creepy, weird, distorted

yorken, and Hax just doesn't look quite as good. I'll put a little bit of art up so you can see what's going on, but it's going to be a great panel. We begin with a quick rundown of everything that's going on. We got Yorkin, running through the town, going crazy, killing people, Melanie, tracking York in the flesh,

racing through town, trying to find York and

the entire city is in a complete panic because Yorkin's just going around killing people left and right. The Flash hasn't been able to stop them. It's gotten so bad that vigilante groups have formed in Central City. Think of these people have had the Flash solving all their problems for a long time. It just takes a couple of. They're all grabbing their guns out on the town hunting for York and we see a group of

guys out looking. One of these guys had his daughter probably she was the one at the theater that

got killed so they're walking around Central City Park. Dangers for a whole new reason. Rifles,

handguns getting ready to look for York and all of a sudden they see a figure come out of the

forest society in tattered clothing hunched over posture. It's York and they got him. They got him

in his sights. They are lying up to take the shot. They all start yelling to fire firing rifles,
