Tom versus the Flash number 245 or CSI Central City.

Welcome back for the Flash number 245 of the November 1976 issue featuring a cover by

Ernie Chan with the entire issue being edited by Julie Schwartz.

Our first story in this issue is who put the Zing in the Flash written by Carrie Bates,

pencil by Irvnovick, inked by Frank McLaugh.

And we start in the Central

City jail. Cops wandering around during the graveyard shift. Just kind of talking, there's nothing to do

in Central City. Robberies at night occur before midnight there. That's just how it works.

It's a good, simple town. Even the thieves like to get some sleep. So the cops just kind of

wandering around when suddenly

they're walking down the hall and they see in what moment a moment ago was just an empty cell

two guys in garrish jumpsuits. Of course, they're criminals. You got to have a garrish jumpsuit

if you're a criminal was empty a moment ago. And by the costumes, the cops know it's the Zinger gang. We've been pulling crimes all around town recently, and then it must have been the flash that dropped him off. One yelling, thanks, Flash, wherever you are. And we see the Flash running out of the police station at Super Speed, of course, and other cops. I don't know why I complain about the graveyard shift. The Flash is always outworking, taking care of proms.

We cut to the place the Flash does have some problems.

The Allen household is we see him running in late at night.

Iris bitching at him for being late.

What's he doing out all the time?

She's been having to sit around watching the terrible Johnny Nevada show.

She's an awful, awful show. I can only imagine what the Johnny Nevada show would be like.

Anyone with the last name like a state, got to keep your eye out for them. Joe Montana,

he would steal your wallet in a second. Barry explains that he ran into some trouble on the
