Welcome back to the Flash number 24, the September 1976 issue featuring a cover by Ernie Chan,

with issue being edited by Julie Schwartz and Bob Rosakis, providing some editing assistance.

The one and only story in this issue is, the last day of

June is the last day of Central City, written by Carrie Bates, penciled by Irv Novick, inked by

Frank McLaughlin. No coloring credits this time for Carl Gafford. What did Carl Gafford do in that last

issue? They got him so much coloring credit for it. This is the continuation of the fantastic story began in last issue.

The top died because of his own weird reaction with the Flash's super speed

and his own increasing mental powers.

He's bitter, decides to take it out on Central City, the rogues, and the Flash,

by hiding six different explosives in different parts of

town. They're all going to go off unless they're stacked together. It's going to destroy the whole

city. The rogues know about it and the rogues like Central City, so they're going to gather all

of them, but they can't tell the Flash about it because he's not going to believe him. So the

rogues are the good guys in this story,

believe it or not. Now is the Flash going to inadvertently destroy Central City? Well,

we begin in the Flash Museum where Dexter Miles is carrying out a grim task. He's moving the

top's wax figure from the Hall of Rokes to a special deceased Rokes area.

It's very sad.

And Dexter, in his own unique style, is, of course, quoting Shakespeare as he's doing it.

We then cut to a cemetery outside Central City.

It's Roscoe Dillon, the Top's funeral.
