Welcome back for the Flash number 230, the November, December, 1974 issue,

featuring a cover by Nick Hardy with the entire issue being edited by Julie Schwartz.

The first story in this issue is The Fury of the Fire Demon, written by Carrie Bates,

We start with a scene of a city, a man on the street reporter for KBC TV, is out trying

to get the public opinion about an important question.

The question is, should a Justice League member be eligible to run for public office?

Now, knowing the rules of the Justice League, the bureaucracy, it's probably easier to run for

president than it is to just become a member of the Justice League, the amount of restrictions

and the weird rules.

The League probably would have to disband if someone was elected to public office.

And then again, who wouldn't want to vote? Elastic Man as governor.

Grod ran for governor. Almost one. Why not Elastic Man?

Well, the reporter finds a beautiful couple, handsome couple walking down the street.

Ask their name, and it's Rita and Al Desmond. That's right, Al Desmond.

Multiple personality villain, he's been Mr. Element, Dr. Alchemy, just Al Desmond, friend of

Barry Allen, inexplicably always let out into the public even though he's shown himself to be

dangerous multiple times. You know the L. Desmond I'm speaking of. The home of Barry and Iris

Allen, Iris is watching the TV. She sees the Desmond's on TV, screams for Barry to come to the

room to look, and Barry is probably busy doing something. It's like, it's not that big of a deal.
