Tom versus the Flash Number 221 or everybody knows the elephants are behind it.

Welcome back for the Flash Number 221, the April, May, 1973 issue featuring a cover by

Nicholas Cardi with the entire issue being edited by Julie Schwartz.

The first story in this issue is Time Schedule for Disaster, written by

Kerry Bates and John David Warner, penciled by Irv Novick, and inked by Frank McLaughlin.

You know, the first spread page, like the page that gets you drawn into the story,

it's got me drawn in, it's got the flash tap dancing, and Crooks shooting a vault.

So something interesting is bound to happen.

We start in the Allen household with Iris scheming something against Barry.

Some sort of plan to get rid of him quickly.

Is she finally going to murder him?

Has the tension come to a head now?

It's nothing that nefarious.

We see Barry up and about dressed, asks her if she wants her goodbye kiss an hour after breakfast,

and Iris thinks now is the time to strike with his greatest weakness.

She brings out the bank deposit slip and says, where was last week's bank deposit?

That's right.

Barry forgot.

Well, he didn't forget.

He just got to the bank after it was closed, so he couldn't

deposit any money. Probably just some bounce checks, but back then, you know, you could just move

to a different town, change your name, and your credit problems would disappear. So IRIS starts
