Tom versus the Flash number 216 or it's time for a good old-fashioned art burning.

Welcome back for the Flash number 216, the June 17th, 72 issue featuring a cover by Nick Cardi,

with the issue being edited by Julie Schwartz. The first story in this issue is The Curse of the Dragon's Eye, written

by Kerry Bates, with pencils by Irv Novick, and inks by Frank McLaughlin, Dick Geridano.

We start with The Flash strolling down the street, as any man with super speed, of course,

which is sometimes would want to walk places at a leisurely normal pace.

He's walking slow enough that any passerby could catch up to him.

For example, Al Desmond, who happens to have been looking for the flesh,

yelling after him on the street until the flash notices him.

You might remember Al Desmond as Mr. Element, Dr. Alchemy, multiple personalities,

is a bit evil, was manipulated by reverse flash.

Good guy just occasionally loses his mind and becomes a villain.

It happens to all of us.

Well, just as he gets the Flash's attention, he pulls out a gun, of course, freaking out the

flesh, but Al isn't going to shoot the Flash with the gun.

He shoots himself with the gun, changing the very

atoms of his clothes into his Mr. Element costume. That's handy. Now, well, he's a bad guy now.

So he blasts Flash with a super intensified hydrogen, which combines with the oxygen to burst into

flames around the flash,

inflaming him just covered in flames.

The flash is on fire.
