Welcome back for the Flash number 215, the May 1979 issue,

featuring a cover penciled by Neil Adams, inked by Dick Giordano,

and the issue is edited by Julie Schwartz.

The first story in this issue is

Death of an Immortal, written by Len Ween, with art by Irv Novick doing the pencils,

with Frank McLaughlin and Dick Giordano teaming up to do The Inks. We start, it's morning,

Barry is using his electric shaver to shave. He's not a

razor man. Now he's modern. He's got an electric shaver. That's how he rolls. And he's thinking,

yeah, it's so hard to get up. I got to go accept this award, a good citizenship award from the

mayor as the Flash. How many awards do you think the Flash is constantly getting from Central City?

Do you think he would just be like, listen, I'm going to win this citizenship award every time.

Let's just give it to somebody else.

But no, he must enjoy it because he's going to go get it.

He's letting Iris sleep in because

it's her day off. She deserves it. He's kind of sneaking out of the house in his suit. I like how he takes time to put on the suit, even though he's immediately going to put the flash costume over the top of it. He's not going to wear sweatpants and a t-shirt to this thing. He's got the suit on. Underneath, he goes to hit the ring, though. The costume's not inside there. He's

shocked. He yells to Iris, where's my costume? How am I supposed to go do this? And from the bed, he hears a voice telling him it's in the closet where it usually is, and that he needs to hurry up because Keystone City isn't going to wait for him.

And bam, we see a full page of Barry opening up the closet to see Jay Garrick's costume,

the helmet in the boots waiting for him.

It is not Barry's costume.

He's shocked.
