Tom versus Aquaman and Aquaman number 21 or finally, modern pirates with snappy outfits.

Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number 21.

And our Aquaman story is The Fearful Freak from Atlantis, featuring art by Nick Cardi,

and though there is no official designation of who the writer is, this has got a little bit of Bob Haneyism in.

And I'm going to lean towards that, but of course, I can't say with 100% certainty,

but there's definitely some remnants of Bob Haney.

Number one, there's a bad guy called the Fisherman in this run, which is pretty sweet.

We begin, Atlantis.

A bunch of young Atlanteans riding their seahorses around.

Find Aquaman and ask me if wants to join in a quick game of polo.

Aquaman stammers and says he's sort of preoccupied and we see exactly what's going on.

Mara is sewing and she has the string like stretched out across Aquaman's hands like you used to do in the old days, I guess.

You had to do that.

If you were a woman sewing, you had to have your

man hold the yarn between your two hands. So he's completely pussy whipped.

Which, listen, if I had to choose between hanging out with my hot wife and a bunch of Atlantean

kids playing polo, hang out with the hot wife, Yeah, you got to hold that yarn for a while.

Listen, marriage, it's a two-way street. I'm sure she does things for him that are equally depressing for her.

I'm not going to go into those, but that's the way the world works. All the kids start laughing at Aquaman, and they take off to go play.

And outside this city, Aqualad is putting on quite a show.

He's got a fake crown on, and he's really ragging on Aquaman screaming.
