Tom versus Aquaman and Aquaman number 20 or can we just make this new dude Aquaman?

Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number 20.

Ashton and our Aquaman story is the Sea Kings Double Doom, featuring art by Nick Cardi.

We begin in Atlantis.

The people of Atlantis are still in the honeymoon period with Aquaman and Mara, and they've built them a statue out of diamond coral.

Again, underwater cultures, big into statues, statues everywhere.

You can't swing a dead cat in Atlantis. I should say you can't swing a dead cat.

Fish in Atlantis without hitting a statue for Aquaman. So there, everyone's celebrating

it's great. Aquiland, little salty, feels like maybe he should get a statue too. I mean,

he's involved in all these capers that they're involved in. He saved Atlantis, too. What does he get?

Well, the people got him a gift as well. They provided him with sea imp, a new ocean mount, a giant

sea horse that Aquat's very excited, but he gets on there. The problem is a sea imp has not been tamed, which causes everyone to laugh, because it humiliates

Aquilad by tossing him about, which is embarrassing form.

But Aquiland, too proud to just accept that laughter, says he's going to tame C-imp himself,

which everyone laughs because he obviously can't handle it. Everything is going great in this city. In fact, shortly afterwards,

Aquaman's taking a tour of the local farms where the farmers tend hypoonic plants, you know,

plants that just grow underwater. It's where they get all their food, and there's farmers and sea oruses, dragging combines,

and it's a really idyllic scene.

Because it's underwater and because this is Aquaman, a monster's going to come crushing

in and just ruin the whole thing.

And this time, it's a two-headed monster.
