Some versus Aquaman and Aquaman number 22, or no, no, I'm talking about the swarthy candle.

Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number 22, the July August, 1965, issue featuring a cover by Nick Cardi with the issue being edited by George Cashman.

We begin in the undersea fields around Atlantis, Aquaman.

Mera and Aquiland are out, you know, as the caption says, cavorting.

And Aquaman and Mera being really cutesy with each other, she's daring him to catch her, and if he does, she'll give him a kiss, and it's disgusting Aquilad who's just, first of all, it's creepy that he's there while they're out doing this, kind of like flirting with each other, and as he says, mushing it up, which is a euphemism I'm not going to use, just mushing it up. They're supposed to be out there

for a treasure hunt in the caves instead they're chasing each other around making out,

which is annoying. So Aquaman chasing Mara around the caves, they're laughing and joyfully chasing

each other. They're obviously in love at some point. Aquaman turns a corner and sees Mara grabs her

by the waist. Mara screams. Aquaman goes in for the kiss that she owes them, but she seems to be

struggling a little bit and as they kiss her eyes light up and Aquaman suddenly realizes it's not

Mara, but the girl he's kissing says,

ah, we might as well continue at this point.

Mara comes racing around on her seahorse, and she demands that her sister take her hands

off his husband, which shocks Aquaman's sister.

What?

Yeah, that's right.

Mara has a twin sister by the name of Hila. She's the black sheep of the

family. That's why Mara has never mentioned it. She's been nothing but trouble to Mara's family her entire

existence. In fact, she got into so much trouble. She got convicted of a crime so heinous that she was

chased from the underwater, underwater dimension they lived in, and I guess

...
