We begin in Atlantis. New king and queen of Atlantis, Aquaman and Mara are just hanging around

sitting on, now they got rid of the two separate thrones. Now they have a big love seat-style

throne, which if I was a king, I would totally go for a love-seat style throne because, number

one, you're going to get fat if you're a king. So you need the extra seat room. So the two of them sitting on this giant clamshell, everyone yelling, hail Aquaman, hail Queen Mara, everything's super exciting and awesome for them. And Aquaman has to go on patrol. And as he's leaving, Mara starts freaking out. She's pissed off that Aquaman's always going on patrol and leaving her behind. And she gets bored in Atlantis because Atlantis, it turns out, is boring for Mara. You might say, is this a problem with Mara? This is a problem with Atlantis? I think we're going to get a clue in just a few pages, so you'll find out, well, Aquaman

wants to keep his wife happy, so, and he's got to protect the Seventh Seas, so he doesn't

know what to do. Well, Mara says that maybe Aqualad should be left behind to entertain

or, like a courtchester is what Aqualat's being treated like and augman says yeah sure

aquilad you stay behind which acolat's pissed off about because he likes to be part of the patrol

and he likes the crime fighting aspects that we cut to a half hour later mar is on the throne and she

is furious at aquilat because aquilad is playing some stupid game where he just swims around in a circle, waving his hands and yelling, and she just can't take it anymore. It's driving her crazy. And Akklaz is saying he's bored sitting here. He's supposed to be on patrol. He should be out having fun with Aquamac. Which just pisses off Mara more because he shouldn't be having fun. He should be learning. fun with Aquaman, which just pisses off Maramore because he

shouldn't be having fun. He should be learning. God knows if this kid can even read. What is,

does Aquaman homeschool him on the side? So all of a sudden, Marrister's thinking, we got to get

Aquilad some learning. So she calls the court magician Zoraster, the seer. And she orders him to teach Aquilad, everything he knows about magic, which is all that you need to know to get by in Atlantis. And Ocklad's getting pissed off as he likes being illiterate. And then that's at the end of Maris tirade, because this is just sent her off the ad. She is not adjusting well to number one,

not having her powers. Remember, she didn't get her powers back at the end of the last year.

Number two, she now has to live in Atlantis. There's a statue of Atlantis' first queen that's

out, and she wants it removed because the queen is too beautiful, which is a totally bitchy move
