Welcome back for Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 271, the April 1960,

issue being edited by Mort Wisinger, and our Aquaman story is the second to deluge,

or deluge, I guess,

written by Robert Bernstein featuring art by Ramona Frayden. We begin in the Aqua

Cave, which is what I'm calling it. They haven't called it yet. You know the place where

Aqualad set up the sweet hammocks and the Neptune statue, so they have a place to crash?

Well, we start with

Aquaman waking Aqualad from his sleep saying there's an emergency. His sea patrol has contacted

him. Aquaman's delegating a lot of stuff now. He's got a sea patrol, which is a seal, a swordfish,

and Topo in charge of them. Topo, I bet, rides the seal.

That's how he learned to manage people.

It's from Aquaman.

You manage people by riding them around.

That's how you handle your employees.

And what is the Sea Patrol alerted Aquaman to?

A suspicious-looking arc-like ship that puzzles them, and they think Aquaman should check it out. That's not necessarily

an emergency. I think the Sea Patrol needs to really refocus itself. As Aquaman gets up to the boat,

the captain of the boat, a boat announces himself, harkin Aquaman. I'm Captain Noah. He's

dressed very much like how you would imagine Noah from the Bible story, and he goes on to explain that a second day elusion is coming.

The world would be flooded once again, and everything will be drowned, just like in that old Bible story.
