Welcome back for Aquaman in Adventure Comics number 255.

And our Aquaman story today is Aquaman's Double Trouble, featuring art by Ramona Frayden. We begin, Aquaman, Standard Ocean Patrol, comes across the scene of a horrible accident. A strong underwater current has pushed an old wrecked ship on top of a Manta Ray. Why was he resting so near the ship? Who knows? All Aquaman knows is that this Manta Ray is in trouble. It's going to be crushed by this boat. He's got to move it. But before he can make a move, he gets a message from Topo using their wrist watches. They got the underwater wrist watches that Topo bought for them so they could, you know, send messages to each other and stuff. Well, he sends Aquaman a message about a disaster on the surface.

Aquaman surfaces and sees exactly what's happening.

An airliner made an emergency landing into the ocean, but it landed in a bunch of seaweed,

and now it's trapped.

It's also in the ocean where it shouldn't be, which seaweed, yes, is a big problem.

I would be more focused on the fact that this airplane has landed in the ocean.

Pilot sticks his head out to door, is yelling the fact that if the plane stays there,

it's going to be destroyed by a storm.

They can't lift off because they're all trapped now.

They've repaired the engine.

Also, you're in the ocean airplane.

A normal airplane just can't take off in the middle of the ocean.

Aquaman has solved that problem before.

The engine is repaired.

Now, Aquaman's left for the dilemma.

He can save the Mantua Re?

Or he can save the people on board the airplane.

And Aquaman immediately, snap decision, quick. There's no inner turmoil, really. Once he weighs the options. Humans are more important than fish. Did you hear that,
