Welcome back for Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 253, the October 1958 issue featured

a cover pencil by Kurt Swanings by Stan K with the issue being added by Mort Wisinger.

And our Aquaman story is The Ocean of One Million BC,

written by Jack Miller featuring art by Ramona Frayne.

We begin far beneath the surface of the ocean where Aquaman is up to his shenanigans.

You see, there's a big parade of sea creatures floating back and forth in formation,

and there's Aquaman standing atopo, saluting them. They're not saluting him back because it's not really a military

situation. This is the parade that Aquaman makes his finny friends go on twice a week on Tuesdays

and Fridays, and it's Tuesday, so they're doing it. Aquaman's just sitting there staring at him

amazed at the fact that they do what he says,

and he makes them do bullshit things like go on parades twice a week.

And since it's Tuesday, they get to cut the parade short,

but Tuesday's the day he does volunteer work for Oceanographic Societies.

There's some nearby caverns that have never been charted,

so Aquaman's going to chart it

for them for a nice fee, maybe some kickback on some grants. You know how it works. So Aquaman

grabs a couple of glowing luminescent fish, heads for the caves, gets inside where something crazy

happens as soon as he gets in the caves. His mind starts whirling. He loses his balance. He

spins around.

Moments later, he wakes up inside a giant cave complex. But it looks like there's a caveman there. You know, with the caveman sort of bear tunic on in a spear, an Aquaman who's so good with people.
