Our Aquaman story is the copycat creature featuring art by Ramona Freighton.

We begin in the Arctic.

Alkman, tooling around on top of Topo, checking out the situation. There's a heat wave going on.

And when it's unseasonably hot, icebergs break off of the giant ice floats, endangering ships.

And Aquaman is all about protecting commerce.

Pirates, icebergs, anything to keep free enterprise moving. Capitalism. Keep the gears of capitalism

moving quickly with the blood of his fish friends. He's a stridentotopo looking out everything that's going on.

When you notice it's a strange-looking iceberg that seems to be cracking open,

he gets closer to it. And it's a prehistoric creature that looks an awful lot like

Falcourt the luck dragon from the never-ending story. See, this creature is trapped in a block of ice.

Must have been frozen for centuries in suspended animation.

Aquaman's starting to get worried.

This creature might be ferocious and might threaten international trade,

which Aquaman gets a cut of.

So as he gets ready, he tells Topo to get into an alert position in case

this prehistoric creature goes crazy, the creature gets up and just starts yelling, you know,

Gleek, greek, greek, he's friendly and smiling, and Aquaman realizes the creature is just a friendly

creature, just wants to be pals. Doesn't everyone else like him?

Aquaman's going to be friends with him, and he's going to give him a name.
