Welcome back for Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 245.

So it has a seal of approval from the masses and from me, because this story is totally sweet.

We begin off the eastern seaboard where boats have gathered personal watercraft,

ski jets, dudes just trolling around with ladies on their boats, little sailboats.

They've all gathered together to watch something.

Now, what would people gather together to watch on their boat,

strangers getting their boats close together? How about a floating magician, a floating sorcer?

This is the late 1950s, the era of the floating entrepreneur. Couldn't make it as a magician

on the stage, on ground? Put it on a raft. Get out to sea. Throw your name around, get a big banner saying Jason Dieter the Great, make sure the Great is offset so that we could see it behind your head. And so we have here as a floating sorcerer, a floating magician doing tricks for everyone, bringing in the personal boaters, I don't know how he got the word out. I don't know how he got on the raft.

I don't know if he got towed out there. All I know is that Jason Dieter's putting on a show.

He's got a cape on. He's got seaweed hair. And it's enough to draw people in. When you've been out on a boat for an hour, you get kind of bored. And his whole thing is that he can control fish. He has sea powers. In fact, he makes two swordfish jump into the air, crossing

their swords, and pressing everyone nearby because only Aquaman can control sword force. Only he

can deal with all of their strange demands in exchange for these sort of tricks. Only he can

satisfy the swordfish desires. So how is Jason Dieter pulling this off?

Well, one of the spectators happens to be Aquaman on top of Topo awkwardly, floating by, yelling at the sorcer, yelling at Mr. Deeter to stop blocking the sea lions, and to get rid of his phony robot fish, which causes all the people watching to start laughing.
