As Alex Chuck was robbed, the Washington Capitals are the 2018 Stanley Cup champions.

Cap's development camp continues out of MedStar Capitals Iceplex, wrapping up on Saturday morning when the team actually holds a scrimmage.

I get to see some of the players that they've drafted and developed, as recently as this past weekend, all those guys out on the ice actually playing in the game.

But for the time being, drills on the ice, off the ice, away from the rink in the hotels. They continue to learn

about the players and the people that they've drafted over the last couple of years.

What's up, everyone? This is a special edition of the Capitals Talk podcast as Camp

wraps up. Had a chance to sit down with the head coach. Todd Reardon this week and really got our

first chance to talk to him about a couple of big major moves, which was A, Brooks Orpick retiring,

B, the trade of Matt Niskin. Those are the two guys they brought in specifically to change a culture,

help them win a Stanley Cup, and make them one of the

winningest organizations in hockey.

And all those things were accomplished.

And Todd Reardon was just as important as anyone to actually bring them here because they

all came together from Pittsburgh.

And as you'll hear in the interview, it's rare when you get to work as a coach with a guy for nine years or 10 years like he did with Niskenen and with Orpick.
