Lord Jesus, I welcome you into this house.

I pray the words that I speak will be your words, not mine.

It will be your heart, not mine.

Holy Spirit, come this day because we need you. We need your voice. We need your comfort. We need your inspiration. For we can never do the work of the gospel without you. And so we welcome you this day

in Jesus' name. Amen. You may be seated.

I want to read just a passage of scripture and then give you my texts.

Exodus chapter 3, verse 1.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian.

And he led the flock to the far side of the desert,

came to the mountain of God to Horib.

I love this verse, the angel of the Lord appeared to him.

Some Bible scholars say Jesus appeared to him,

the angel of the Lord.

In the midst of a bush

that burned with fire, but the bush was not consumed.

So Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

When the Lord saw that he turned aside to sea, God called to him.

Well, to hear the voice of God from out of the midst of the bush

and said, Moses, Moses, here am I.
