Hi, it's Andy here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Friday morning.

I've done about you.

I can't help but feel that the beginning of this year feels a little bit different than

last year and look, it depends where you live in the world.

It depends what's going on in your life right now.

What was going on in your life in the middle of last year, but it felt like we went through

a period of time as such turmoil where it was almost overwhelming.

For many people, it was overwhelming.

And I can't help but look back at that time.

So almost like a hurricane, just sort of blowing through the world.

There was just so much going on and it's tempting to think that we've sort of come out

the other side of that and somehow the hurricane has disappeared.

It's gone and we can sort of breathe again to some degree.

But the weather's interesting in that way, right?

It's not like the weather ever really goes anywhere.

All of that energy still exists in the world.

It's just that it takes different forms.

It takes different paths.

And over time, yes, we will go through long periods of time where it feels perhaps a

bit clearer, a little bit calmer.

But it doesn't mean that it won't be challenging again in the future.

And for me, when I think about training the mind, this is such an important analogy.
