It's important to cultivate spiritual connection with your spouse and one of the

best ways you can do that is to pray together. I'm John Fuller with Greg and Aaron Smalley who lead the

focus marriage team here and Aaron there have been studies about praying together.

It really can be a binder of sorts for the marriage relationship.

Absolutely.

And you think about what does prayer do?

Well, if we're going before God together,

it brings unity.

So increased connection and intimacy because as we pray together we actually learn things about each other and it is a vulnerable place and you know we're sharing those deep things of the heart before God and with each other and so it really

does impact the marriage often couples don't pray together because it is so vulnerable and maybe maybe their relationship hasn't felt safe emotionally.

So it really is important to go before God.

There's impacts of it, enhance communication,

better conflict management, as well as that deeper level of emotional

connection and intimacy.

That's really good, and even as you're speaking, I'm thinking, wait a minute, we started

our relationship as prayer partners.

Wow. Before I asked it to date I just I thought it would be good to pray together because she had a heart for the Lord.

Yes.

That hey guys if you want to get the girl,

just think about maybe saying, hey, can we pray together?

Yeah, or how can I pray with you?

That's much smoother way.
