You know, it's kind of those moments of where do I go with this pain, where do I go with these emotions and thoughts?

And it's really easy to call it quits in some of those challenging

situations, whether in life or running.

I really like those moments in a race where everything just kind of goes out of the way and like for me when I was running UTMB this year I was like take the pain was one of my like

my mantras and it's just not like I wanted to get rid of the pain,

I want to be in a different place,

but I really just absorb what is going on internally

and physically, and it brings you to this really primal raw state and I go through lots of different emotions

in this time but definitely beast mode comes out where I am grunting I am an animal every step hurts

but I love it where I'm just so in my own space just

really connected to the earth and the environment and hurting and raw and

real.
