health worker strike in U.S. history. More than 75,000 unionized

employees of Kaiser Permanente walked off the job yesterday. And it's unclear exactly how union

negotiations went. Kaiser said they've reached a lot of agreements, but the union seemed to have a

regarding some of our priorities, end quote.

The union is demanding higher pay and increased hiring to address staffing shortages.

People on the picket lines are nurses, medical

techs, and other support staff in California, Colorado, Washington, Virginia, Oregon, and Washington,
