I'll explain my whirlwind week, my whirlwind couple days I've just had. It's first thing with

Kevin Manor, that I say that already. I don't know it's a

real quick look at all the headlines as you start your day and the show starts right

now. And we always start with the top story. This is everywhere right now yesterday.

Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith released a 165 page filing related to former

President Trump. It's in regards to the 2020 election and his efforts to overturn the results.

The report accuses the former president of quote increasingly desperate efforts to hang on to power.

In the filing Special Counsel Smith insists that the former president, quote,

must stand trial for his private crimes as would any other citizen.

After this was made public a spokesperson for the Trump campaign said,

quote, this entire case is a partisan

unconstitutional witch hunt that should be dismissed entirely.

All right okay on to sports a real quick follow-up to the passing of Pete Rose.

The official cause of death was determined to be heart disease.

Again, he was 83 years old.

In other baseball news, the playoffs are upon us. The Wild Card

series wraps up tonight with the divisional series starting on Saturday,

October Baseball. In women's basketball, Brittany Griner is the latest W-N-B-A player to join the

brand-on-3 league. It's called Unrivaled. She's the 24th player to hop on board

and it's authority-player league so they're close to rounding it out.

The entire season will last 10 weeks starting in January. I do like the idea.
