We're going to start today's announcements with a whole slew of reporting on crimes committed

by celebrities.

First the obvious one.

In a story that I definitely didn't see coming yesterday, Bill Cosby has been released

from prison after a decision by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Cosby had served three years of a three to ten year prison sentence already, and then

the court ruled that he had been denied a fair trial in 2018, and this is why.

In 2005, Cosby was being investigated for the assault of Andrea Constant, the same woman

who he eventually went to jail for assaulting in 2018.

However, at that time, a former district attorney named Bruce Castor had given Cosby

his assurance that he would not be charged in the case if he testified.

But then a few years later, Cosby was indeed found guilty based on that exact testimony,

which in the legal system is a big no.

After the court ruled a charging Cosby for that crime, for which he was later convicted,

violated his due process rights.

And of course, we cannot simply glaze over the name Bruce Castor, who I'm sure you may

remember is Trump's second impeachment lawyer.

He was the slightly better one who did a little less screaming than the other one, but

I also totally understand if you block that from your memory entirely.
