Let's start with some COVID updates.

The Pfizer vaccine is expected to receive full FDA approval by Labor Day.

Once that happens, a number of universities and hospitals, the Defense Department and at

least one major city, San Francisco, are expected to all mandate vaccinations.

So send that along to your anti-vax friends who are holding out for the studies to be more

final, or whatever they're waiting for.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the war on COVID, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis threatened

funding cuts for schools that mandate masks for kids.

He actually did this on the same day that COVID hospitalizations in his state broke its own

record.

And did more concerning COVID news that I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye on and

letting you know about.

We're seeing preliminary data about another variant, the Lambda variant, which is potentially

more infectious and immune-resistant than even the Delta variant.
