So last week we began our 24 points in Romans 12. And we started it with sort of an airplane checklist,

if you recall. It's kind of like, you know, flaps check, landing gear check, fuel check,

all the things you're supposed to check before you fly. And if you don't do your pre-check

on a flight, it could be, well, Alaska Airlines. Anyway, no, I'm just kidding. No, it could be a problem.

But hopefully as Christians, we go through this checklist. This is sort of a checklist for the church,

not just corporately, but also for you and me personally, individually.

It's a good checklist.

And I don't know about you, but last week we saw here in Romans 12, the first 12 of 24,

and it's a pretty steep description of things we're supposed to do.

Let's just do a quick review.

In verse 9, we saw that love was to be without dissimulation or hypocrisy or fakeness. Real love is what we talked about.

Loving needs to be our main part of the church of Jesus Christ. One thing that, you know, the world

says, you guys aren't loving. you're hateful. And the reason

they say that is because when we disagree with them on something, they think that's hate.

But 1st Corinthians 13, which some would say helps us define love, especially in a godly sort of love,

love rejoices in the truth. It doesn't rejoice in lies or evil. And so, you know, people that

often say, you aren't loving. You have to check yourself, am I not being loving or am I being

truthful? Because truth is often mistaken for hate and really misdiagnosed his hate, to say the least. But that's this idea of

just having true, not hypocritical sort of love. Number two, in verse nine, abhor or hate,

that which is evil, which goes along with that, the love thing that we just talked about.

Number three, cleave to that which is good.

Number four, preferring one another.
