Summary

The propensity to judge others — while not wanting to be judged ourselves — is just as prevalent today as it was in Paul’s day. In Romans 14:10-13, Paul addresses this issue by showing us why we should stop judging others, what we should actually be judging, and why our focus should be on the coming judgment that belongs to Jesus Christ alone.

Have you ever heard the term face the music?

It's time to face the music.

Well, it's debatable where that saying came from.

There's people that claim they know where it is,

but there's different stories,

but one oriental tradition was that there was a wealthy man who wanted to join

a renowned orchestra that would periodically play music

before the emperor.

And he just really, that was a life goal of his,

or dream, but he didn't know how to play an instrument.

So this wealthy man bought his way into the orchestra

and they handed them a flute.

And they put him like on the fifth chair flute and just said, whatever you do, don't blow air into that thing.

But, you know, and so they put him there.

Well, one day the conductor died, so they got a new conductor.

But the conductor was much more strict, this new one.

And he said, before we proceed, everyone must be tested to see if you have the honor of being in my orchestra.
