Let's get to it.

Why don't you grab your Bible and turn with me to the scriptures, Matthew chapter 17.

Strange story, there's a man found that appeared to be murdered execution style out in the

middle of the wilderness in kind of a desert wilderness sort of thing.

But tipped off to examine more closely, it was found to be actually suicide.

And initially they thought, well, where's the weapon, you know, the gun?

Because he had a bullet wound to the head.

But actually, this guy rigged this contraption.

He attached the gun to several helium balloons.

And then when he shot himself, the hope was that the balloons would carry the gun off

into outer space or wherever, miles and miles away.

But apparently it got snagged in some trees nearby. So they found the gun.

Kind of a tragic story.

Why did he do it?

Well, it was financial despair.

He was trying to get an insurance settlement to his family and all that stuff.

And, you know, it's interesting when you hear stories like that.

People, people are in despair.

People are troubled today.

And suicide is on the rise in our current culture and day.

And depression is bad, anxiety is bad,

with gas prices and inflation and all the stuff that's going on
