Turn there, Matthew chapter 18 for today's study.

On Wednesday night, we'll look at this whole chapter.

But I want to show you a section of this chapter that I think is an important part of Jesus' admonition to us,

something we should all perhaps take another look at.

It's pretty big deal.

Peter brings up the subject, however, and then Jesus teaches on it, which is really important.

When I was in junior high, my sister Tammy, who was one year older than I, we would go back

and forth with practical jokes.

And it got a little crazy at times. But one of the ones, I've maybe shared this before in years

past, but it was kind of a funny thing. And it brings back memories, you know, but Tammy would

every summer, you know, she'd do this thing where she'd go running every day

in the hot summer of Southern Oregon. And, and she'd always put a bottle of Pepsi in the, in the

freezer just before she left. So by the time she got back, there might just be a little skiff of ice

on the Pepsi. You know, that was kind of her way of doing it. And so she took the, I saw it just like clockwork, put Pepsi in the freezer, took off on her

run.

Well, being the junior higher that I was, I thought it'd be wonderful to empty out some of the

Pepsi and put a full bottle of the big bottle of Tabasco sauce in her Pepsi, just to see what

would happen.

And so I, you know I emptied out the proper amount

and refilled it with this big bottle of Tabasco sauce
