Summary

The Pharisees loved to look at outward appearances and judge a person’s holiness based upon strict adherence to their ridiculous made-up rules. Consequently, they were livid when Jesus came on the scene and challenged this. As we study Matthew 12:1-21, we see what laws Jesus followed and fulfilled and how love, compassion, and mercy are greater than legalism and man-made standards.
