Chapter 12.

There was a woman who was frantic and sort of freaked out, of course, because she was there

trying to board one of those life-saving, you know, boats off the Titanic.

And she had just made her way into the boat when she remembered something that she needed to get.

And the guy's like, man, if you leave, there's no promise, you're going to get back in here.

She said, oh, but we need this.

And so she ran, she ran in through the, you know,

the deck of the ship was already slanted. There was already, you know, frantic people running around

kind of crazy. But she made her way to her stateroom, and there she got into her, you know,

personals, and she pushed aside all of her jewelry and her pearls and all that stuff.

And she reached in and grabbed three objects and put them in her pocket and ran back out.

And she jumped into the life foot just as they were lowering it into the freezing Atlantic Ocean.

And they said, what did you go back to get?

And she actually pulled out three oranges because she knew that they would need

to try to sustain life with oranges.

She left her diamonds and her pearls,

and suddenly oranges became more important

than her jewelry.

Isn't it funny how when you face death,

your priorities change?
