We continue our study where Jesus was already starting to be followed around by the religious leaders.

They were trying to be critical, and we've already started to get into that section.

Mark, again, is a fast-paced, hard-hitting. We're only in chapter three.

And as far as the harmony of the Gospels, I'll show you this a little bit later.

We're kind of in the middle right now of Jesus' ministry, maybe even the middle year.

You know, I have the three years of ministry.

You know, it only takes us to Mark chapter three to get halfway through his ministry.

Mark's fast pace, but I also love

how much Mark gives us. There's all kinds of good information here for you and for me that we can

go through. But, you know, we wrapped up last time. Do you remember where Jesus and his disciples were,

you know, plucking ears of corn on the Sabbath day? We saw that last week and how the Pharisees came, said, you know, plucking ears of corn on the Sabbath day.

And how the Pharisees came and said, you know, why is your master Jesus doing that,

which is not lawful?

Jesus is breaking the law.

And it's cool because Jesus, you know, basically tells them, you know, you guys are off on this whole thing. You're missing

the whole point of the Sabbath. In fact, the last two verses of Mark chapter two, the Sabbath was made

from a man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore, the son of man is the Lord of also the Sabbath.

And this is something we learned. Why did the guys not fast? Because Jesus was with them.

They didn't need to fast when the bridegroom was there. We saw that last week. Why are they picking

corn and not worried about the Sabbath? Because the Lord of the Sabbath is right there with them.

And that's one of the things we have to remember even as a church so we don't do things out of
