Always thankful to have Wednesday night crowd here.

I love teaching through the Bible and you guys are the, you know, the crew that comes out.

Some people think you're crazy, you know, you go to church twice a week.

You're Wednesday nighters, you're crazy people.

But, you know, I love the emphasis on God's Word.

You know, John Bunyan said of the Bible, he said,

sin will keep you from this book he said, sin will keep you

from this book or this book will keep you from sin. There's a real benefit of being in the word.

How shall a young man cleanse his way? Thy word, have I hit in my heart that I might not sit against

thee. Now you're clean, Jesus said, by the word that I've spoken and do. How does Jesus wash his bride in the water of the word,

the Bible says? So it's true. John Bunyan is right. It keeps you from sin as we get the word in our

hearts. So that's a good thing. It gives us a sense, by the way, of right and wrong in a world

that's very much topsy-turvy on knowing what that is. Do you ever get a sense that the world is wrong

about a few things? I mean, you know, the horrors around the world, the political climate,

the Middle East, human trafficking, like we can just go on and on about all the things that are

happening in the world. But I love in the Bible,

you know, I love the phrases that you kind of like like the little two word, but God.

You know, in the Bible, we realize God is in control and he's not worried. And you and I are safe.

No man, John 10, verse 28, can pluck us out of the hand of the father. We're so thankful for the stability

and the blessing of God's word. So that's why I think it's good that you're here tonight

just because we're giving that focus on the Word of God. We're in Luke chapter 22 as we
