One of my favorite stories is the one where Muhammad Ali,

if you were, you know, my age as a kid, seeing, you know,

it was kind of the, from my perspective,

one of the first, you know, big talker athletes, you know,

and he'd go and say stuff that was kind of crazy,

but everybody loved it, you know, but he was, he was pretty sure of

himself, but I remember hearing the story when Muhammad Ali was on a certain flight on an airplane,

and the flight attendant said, Mr. Ali, I need you to fasten your seatbelt before we take off.

And Muhammad Ali said, Superman don't need no seatbelt.

And the flight attendant quickly, very quick-witted,

she said, Mr. Ali, Superman, don't need no airplane either.

And so Muhammad Ali complied and buckled up.

You know, sometimes we think we're better than we really are.

It is funny how sports tends to do that. You know, you're trained as a young athlete. You've got to be confident, talk it up. We're going to win this game. But you may or may not. And there's something that can be very humbling about the fact that we don't have it all together. In a moment of truth, you find out that, you know,

you're maybe not as good as you thought you were. Sports does that for you. You know, even sometimes career will reveal your weaknesses. But can you imagine the truth-telling that's going to happen

at the judgment seat of Christ? Man, when you're standing before

Jesus and he's going to try by fire, and we talked about what that furnace might just be,

as we see the glorified Jesus with eyes of fire and his feet as purified by the fire brass.

You know, like it's an interesting picture of Christ,

but everything will come out in the end.

We'll see through everything that everybody ever did.
